Merry Christmas!!!

Hey all!!! How are you? Well, classes ended yesterday for the semester and now we will start exams on monday...mine are on wednesday, friday, saturday, tuesday and wednesday:) Should be fun!!! They are actually semi decently spready out...as much as exams can be spread out in a week and a half!!! lol, oh well!
In my dorm we celebrated Christmas yesterday which was great fun!! We got up early for breakfast and then exchanged gifts....i got a really cute shirt from Chelsea, my secret santa!!! It was awesome....love you girls!!!
Other news, I got my first confirmation of application for next year from University of Waterloo....and so it has begun...its scary to think of where i will be next year but I can only trust in the comfort that God is leading me and if this is not where I should be heading then He will prevent it....no matter where I go, please pray for patience and calmness for me about my plans!!!
Well, I hope you are all doing as well as I am...With December, other than exams(lol), has come a lot of fun for me!!! I can't wait to come home and celebrate Christmas and I have been having a blast decorating here....I waited til Dec 1st to decorate so I got to say happy 2 months to Ian and decorate on the same day...it was great fun!!!!
Well, thats about it for me!! Pray that we all get through exams well and our stress levels stay down(my health psych class says that leads to cardiovascular disease!!! so bad!!) lol, anywho, love you all! and for those in NB, can't wait to see you at home again!

Hey all:)

well, I suppose it is about time that I write again huh? Things are good here at school still...I am now in my second wave of midterms and then only a few more weeks and i'll be right into finals!!! Oh how the semester has flown by!!! less than a month to finals! Well, that gives me one more semester here at Redeemer!! Yup, its official...I will be transferring to a different school for the last two years of my KIN degree so that I can get a Bachelor of Science rather than a Bachelor of Arts for applying eventually to get my masters in physiotherapy!! how intimidating! Well, I sent in my applications and my check so now i just have to get my transcripts in and then wait on them to get back to me! Scary huh? So, at this point i have no idea where i will be in the fall.. I am applying to UNB, McMaster, Western, and Waterloo and hopefully God will handle it from here:) I'm sure He'll lead me wherever I go:)
Well, it hasn't snowed here yet but I am already feeling christmasy!! by the time christmas gets here I'm sure i'll be sick of snow but for now the anticipation is fun! I actually am listening to some good christmas music right now!! How sad huh? I'm a little ahead. I have my plane ticket booked to fly home on the 22nd of dec and fly back on jan 4 so it will be a quick visit but I can't wait to see you all!
I hope you are all doing great! I'd love to hear from you guys to hear what you are up to! Those of you at home, I miss ya! Love ya, Krista

Ahh, Midterms!!!

Oh yes!!! Its that wonderful time of the year again!! how exciting!!! I really don't understand how they can be called midterms when they insist on having two or three in each course!! Its not really "mid" anymore now is it???? And they are supposed to be teaching us?? lol....oh what fun! Anywho, its all good here in ontario....I'm completely lost in my calculus course and discovered that I still hate history but my statistics is simple as is my biomechanics class...and my health psych is a lot of info but all very interesting so i don't mind...:) so classes are overall decent...lol, I mean, how good can school really be? I am discovering that second year is incredibly busy and now I am on the committee for visiting days for high school students and possibly pulse as well which is a committee for planning student events....should be an interesting/busy semester!! Oh well, i'm sure all university students are feeling the same way, especially right before midterms!
Well, last weekend we took a little break and headed to Canada's Wonderland so here's a few pics of that! Hope all is well with everyone!

FROG Olympics:)

Well, the first week of school is done and I am appropriately intimidated....lol, but I remember being scared last year too so hopefully it won't be as bad as I think...lol, but I can tell that this year is going to be hard than last year so prayers are appreciated!!
On the other hand, I had a great week doing FROG activities...my group was awesome and I had a blast! Now I wish i was coming back next year so I could do it again! Yesterday we had our finale of first year events which was the tug of war in a mud pit:)....hehe, it was awesome! Anyways, I don't have much else exciting to say so here's a couple of pics of the event!

Good bye Fredericton, Hello Redeemer!!

Hello All!!!! Well, I am officially moved back into Redeemer and will start classes this Wednesday....til then, it feels good to be back and catch up with all my Redeemer friends. I've also had a lot of fun decorating our dorm with my roommate for the arrival of the rest of the dorm on monday:) I'm a little nervous for this semester considering it consists of psych, stats, biomechanics, history and calculus.....none of them sound very easy but maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised....lol. Right now it looks like it will be the last year here for me and both of my two good friends here so this will be our farewell year....So I guess we have to make it a good one!! Anyways, I had a good week off here in Ontario and can't wait to get started on my second year of university(mostly cuz it means I'm closer to the end...)
Well, I hope all is well with you! I miss you all in Fredericton already and I hope you guys all know how much I had fun this summer! I'll miss you all but don't forget....care packages are welcome! For all you coming to Redeemer...I can't wait to see you! Hope you are as excited as me!
Love, Krista

As summer ends.....

Well, I can almost officially say that the summer is over....and although I am not looking forward to the horrible cold that will soon arrive to replace this nice weather, I can say that I have not had a better summer in my life! I accomplished everything that I set out to do when coming home and even had a few God-things happen(you know, those things that you are just like, no one could have planned this..has to be from God!!).....such as the amazing bible study we've had! Road trips to moncton, PEI, and halifax, nova scotia.....what good memories! (all of us leaving for pei:)

I was just in halifax this past weekend and it was great!! We saw the buskers perform on the harbour, had a couple of great meals, stopped for some yummy desserts, watched a football team practice(there was no tv, ok??!!??), and all around had a really great time...the heated seats in the car definitely were a plus as well!

Now, I have six more days of work and 8 days before I leave...I'm sure its going to fly by but I am excited to move back in and be on my own again....I'm very strongly considering coming home next year but for now I'm very content and ready to enjoy my second year of university! Love to all my roomies....can't wait to see you there!

I hope you all have had an awesome summer as I have! I'd love to hear from you all about what's new with you!

Your friend, Krista

Theme for this school year: The fact that I am a woman does not make me a different kind of Christian, but the fact that I am a Christian does make me a different kind of woman. For I have accepted God's idea of me, and my whole life is an offering back to Him of all that I am and all that He wants me to be.

one month

Well I can hardly believe it is only one more month before i'll be headed back to redeemer!! This summer has been such a gift from God in providing me with a job and keeping me busy so i wouldn't be missing my school life!!! Now, i'm ready to head back and get settled in my new dorm.....it'll be so much fun to move back in since i know everyone ahead of time this year!! I can't wait!

Well, my car is now fixed and back on the road...i got to drive a 2005 nissan altima while it was being fixed which was a lot of fun but hard on gas so i'm glad to have my old car back...and now my parents are handing it down to my sister so its even coming with me!!! I've told them they need to do the same for me now when i go into fourth year...hehehehe, so its all good!

Tuesday will be my cousin's wedding and i'm so excited for her!! not to mention that i get to take the day off for it...lol. And my sister's home for a week for it so this week will be a great time! She just arrived today so i better get going:)

I hope all is well with you guys!
Love to you all!!!

prayer requested

Hey guys:)
Life is going awesome here...still having a really awesome summer and i am currently researching some plans for next summer.....i haven't decided where i want to go but i know i want to go away some place.....we'll see....
Well, this past weekend was a long weekend for me and it was a blast...friday we had the church picnic and fireworks with a bunch of friends, then saturday we headed off to moncton to a water park for the day and then rushed back for me to work at night, then sunday we headed to the beach for some volleyball and swimming...then after night church we ended the weekend with some card playing.....it was great fun and one of the best weekends i've had in a while!!!! now i can't wait to go camping in a couple of weeks!!! good fun...
well, now for the part where i request prayer.....today i was rearended quite hard on my way home from work......i seem to be ok besides some aches in my back but that could change in the next couple of days. with my schedule i have no time to stop for an injury so i would request prayers from you that God will keep me heathly and i won't have to face any injuries due to the accident. Also, keep the other girl involved in ur prayers as she heals as well!
Well, thats all my news to report tonight....I appreciate all the prayers you send my way!
Love you all!

Halfway Point

Well, within a few days it will have been two months til school ended and...therefore, two months til school starts again. Its hard to say how I feel about that. I guess a mix of feelings since the summer is flying by and i'm loving not having school work to do but I also hugely miss my dormmates!!! And with the distance between us, we just hardly talk and never see each other so i feel almost cut off from their lives which is truely sad!!!

Well, enough of that! Tomorrow is my 19th birthday! Wahoo!! so, to celebrate I will be working at both my jobs!!! ya, big fun!!! But its fine...my parents are taking me out to this really cool caribbean restaurant for lunch in a half hour today to celebrate(caribbeanflavas.ca). Its looks really awesome and i've never been before so i'm excited!! I can pretend i'm in paradise for lunch:)' ....hehehe! And on saturday night i should be going out with a couple of friends dancing....in public!! its a big step from the redeemer dances...lol, but it'll be fun!

So, for the last couple of days it has been GORGEOUS weather!!! and....i stay inside in the air conditioning for my first job and then go scoop ice cream in a freezer at my second job....lol, but i always get an hour in between to lie out so its all good. I'm very slowly working on my tan! But at the end of the summer i have two weeks off before school so hopefully it'll be warm then and i'll have almost too much time on my hands.

Well, i'm actually just on a break at work here so i really need to get back to pretending to be busy:)

Love to you all!! I hope ur summers are going as well as mine!
God Bless!

June huh?

Wow!!! when did it ever get to be june? The summer is now flying by which is great......i'm enjoying my summer here at home but at the same time can't wait to go back....!!!! If only I could go back and not have to do the work then life would be perfect!!!
I am excited for my bday coming up since a few friends and I are going out dancing and such..it'll be a good time....!!!
So, today, I attended my uncle's wedding......his divorce finally went thru so now he and his live in girlfriend got married......it was an interesting days since there are a lot of circumstances surrounding it all that are hard to handle......but despite all that it was a nice time and they both were ecstatic as were the kids.... so, instead of getting into all the things that i disagree with about it, i'm just being happy that they got married...good for them right? if only it were that simple...but anyways
So, it is now SOOO incredibly warm here...not just warm but humid...it was 26 today but with the humidity felt liek 35......summer has arrived!!!!...too bad i'm spending it inside in the airconditioning!!!! but work is good and i'm really having fun learning about the system and all.
All today i've had the hugest headache so i guess i'm going to head to bed.....so, basically, not much to update on....just the same schedule of work and friends although i'm excited to attend my former high school's graduation ceremony....
Well, hope all is well with you all
God bless!!!

My busy life:)

Hey everyone!!
Well, i figured it was time for another update! I'm feeling like i've been back home forever now but i'm enjoying it. My uncle just went to halifax to have kidney operation so he is now in recovery as well as my aunt who donated it to him...I would appreciate your prayers as they recuperate and hopefully return home to their farm in the near future.

My favorite part of being home has been joining a bible study in my church.....I never realized just how much I missed that this year. We have really good discussions every week and are doing a program where we work through the Bible. I find I am better able to participate since taking my religion course at Redeemer so i'm very thankful for that.

My job has gone very well this week and even tho the work can be monotonous as it is a lot of data input I also get to be involved in a lot of discussions having to do with situations being handled within the school districts. So, as it turns out its not so intimidating and I am having a blast with my own cubicle to myself with my own computer, filing cabinet, phone....lol, its the little things that count!!!

Anyways, I need to head off to church so i'll sign off for today!!
Love you all, Krista

A fun weekend before the work begins!!!

Well, as my mom has been constantly reminding me, this is my last weekend of freedom before i start my full time job so then in addition to my part time job i will be completely swamped in work!! Exciting and exhausting at the same time. I can't wait to feel like i am getting up and will accomplish something that day...my part time job of scooping ice cream isn't exactly fulfilling;) but the people i am working with there seem alright at least, not especially great workers but most of them are very young(14 or 15) so i didn't expect much more from them.

So, in celebration of the start of my job but mostly just because we can...lol, me and my parents(i know, partyyy!) are off to bangor, maine for the next two days in hopes of some good shopping and take a nice scenic drive! I actually don't have to start my job til tuesday because monday is a holiday and it being a government office I get my first day off....lol, a wonderful start!

well, no real news to report other than i'm enjoying my time at home, missing redeemer a ton, and hoping for lots of prayer as i begin my new intimidating job! Love to you all!

and so Here's something to think about: How come you never see a headline like 'Psychic Wins Lottery'?

The Ups and Downs....:)'

So, for the last week I've been lazing around waiting for my job to start and just adjusting to being home and other than briefly at church I had not seen any of my friends at all. Therefore, last night I finally decided I was rested enough and began to socialize again....lol, at school it's not really a choice but now I actually have to make an effort. So, me and five other ppl went out to the Snooty Fox...i know, i know, stupid name huh? Well, it actually is an ok place and even let me stay since i was the only one still under age out of the group....another month and a half to go on that.....(ps....i expect lots of bday wishes june 23rd!!). But it was so much fun to be out with my friends from home....at least all my friends from church...still haven't seen my school friends....but I had a blast. We went out to dinner and I got completely caught up with everyone and got to know the new addition to the group who happens to be doing his masters in kinesiology majoring in biomechanics so that was definitely cool to get to know him a bit(btw, i'm a kin major...eheh;)....) Then we went to a friend's house and watched one of the weirdest movies ever....it was amusing..but weird: "We 'heart' Huckaberry" (or something like that). It was all oddly philosophical and simply pointless but still an entertaining movie.
But it was exciting to see all these ppls and I'm actually feeling excited to be here for the summer and be around to hang out and such. So, my plan to keep as busy as possible with two jobs and volunteering may be changing a little as now I want a weekend to go camping and nights to go out and some afternoons for the beach....who needs money?? friends are definitely more important!
So, anyways, Its really fun to be home seeing everyone finally(i was going to scream if i was stuck around the house any longer so its a good thing i got my car back!!)
I am running into a little bit of trouble now tho as i've found that my directional ability is still as bad as it always was and driving is a little bit troublesome with this dilema....lol. you'd think my sense of direction would catch up with me at some point but....i'm still waiting.

Anywho, i've babbled on enough. that is whats going on in my world at the moment. Also, please pray for me as there are some family issues that i will be dealing with this summer that could definitely require prayer!
I love you all! God bless!

one more week

Well, after a week of being home waiting to find out if and when I work i finally got the phone call today that I will be starting work for the Department of Education-section 2 on may 24th!! I am soo excited cuz i don't think i could stand any more time just staying at home!! This work is incredibly intimidating as it is more my sister and my dad's sort of thing with all the accounting and pay roll and uuuccck....BUT its paying me somewhere between 8 and 10 dollars an hour so i suppose i'll live. plus i'm back at my old job which is semi fun so its all good! I am now completely exhausted though as i went through two job interviews today! so , this will be kept short and i'm off to have a nap! Wish me luck on my first day of work!

God bless you all!

A Dedication to my Redeemer roomies

Spring Banquet 2005
Well, as its been almost two weeks since school finished and I have been home for a few days now I suppose I have to face that my first year of university is over....although I have no idea how it went so fast!!! So this posting is dedicated to the girls who made my year so amazing.....I love you all a ton!

First, to my RA's, Mira and Erin.
Mira, even as I found you a little intimidating at the first of the year, you grew on me and I certainly hope that even tho I annoyed you with my upbeatedness(i really don't think thats a word but oh well) that I have grown on you as well! My favorite memory of you during this year is the time we spent together when we were paired off as praying partners. I loved that time so much and I thank you for your thoughts and your prayers as we spent hours talking on those nights. Also, I appreciate you so much for your ability to make me see things from a different point of view when I was being small minded. I will miss teasing you about your strange variety of foods next year. Good luck in the coming year!

Erin, you were probably the one to inspire me the most concerning my schoolwork! well, either that or i'll remember you for instilling in me a fear of the sight of you with a knife......;) but i want to thank you for all your help with my biology class and for you encouragement in the rest of my classes. My favorite memory of you is our long standing joke of "operation caluculus"...hehe, we expect a report in the fall! Also, i loved late night talks like the night we watched "American Outlaws"......thanks for a great year!

Maria, you are such an amazing person. I admire your confidence and perseverence. When you put your mind to something you do it to your full ability and that will bring you far in life! I loved doing biology with you and will never forget studying for our midterms or the breakfasts you've made me through the year.....thanks!! My favorite time with you is the day we spent shopping for your dress....we may not have found one but we sure did have fun! I love having you in our dorm!!! Can't wait to start next year with you!

Chels, my girl!!!!! you are so "rufus"..hehehe!!! Thanks for all the endless talks whenever I needed to discuss something to no end.....lol, you were great being so patient with me and keeping me in check in a lot of areas. My favorite memory of you this year is anytime we were dancing....lol, and the time we "borrowed" that couch!!! hehehe, too bad the fish had to pay for it:(

Reba, you are just so cute!! You were kinda quiet at first but we really made sure that didn't last long....hehehe. I love just hanging out with you anywhere and thank you so much for offering your opinion whenever I was in need of it. My favorite memory is our week in Vermont!! It was so much fun and I felt like we really grew closer during this week...I wouldn't trade it for anything!! (not even Florida..hehe) I'm gonna miss you so much this summer...especially your dance moves!!

Karina, who would ever have guessed that we would end up being dormmates in university when we started writing each other when we were 12 as Gems penpals!??!! I guess God really wanted us to meet huh? Well, I'm sure glad he did! You are so much fun and I love how random you are! I miss having you around already and can't wait to see you again in the fall. My favorite memory of you this year is simply how often you are seen going through the kitchen....lol, a great way to procrastinate!! lol

and finally....my fantasmic favorite roommate, Nikki! Once we got over the freakishness of how much we have in common in our lives and our belongings....lol, I loved sharing a room with you...not to mention a computer...lol! I admire your passion for God and dedication to your relationship with Him. Thanks for all the talks through the year; you were really there for me and i'm so glad that we got to grow so close this year! I miss having a roommate and can't wait to have you back next year:) I just can't pick a favorite time at all for this year......you have just been so much fun and more than i ever imagined for my roommate. I want you to know how special I think you are and that I couldn't have had as much fun as I did without you as my roomie....thanks for a great year!

To all my girls, I love you all a ton! Thanks for an amazing year and for those I'm living with in the fall, I know that the coming year will be even better! Have a great summer and keep in touch!

Big hugs to you all!!

ooooh, back in my dear province

well, here I am sitting in my living room finally having arrived home. It was a long week since I finished school on the 26th and we didn't leave til the 3rd as a result of our transmission going on the car. So, we finally left on tuesday night and I arrived home around 11 am on wednesday.
I miss Redeemer already....just being in the dorm and being able to talk to my roomies all the time. Its weird being home and I don't think its sunk in yet that i'm going to be here for four months. I was excited to find out that rachel, my best friend, will be here for the summer tho and I can't wait to see everyone from church. Today me and rach went by our high school and saw a bunch of ppl who I used to go to school with. It was so weird to be there after a year but fun to feel like I've so moved on from high school and actually have a plan for life...maybe that sounds weird but I feel like I've really accomplished something since being in high school and maybe am even on the way to being adult......someday...lol. But, really, it feels amazing to know that i'm no longer just some high school kid but a university student on the way to being a physiotherapist. I can make plans and dream.....and I don't have to check in with my parents first...lol. I actually have a plan to follow through on and feel good about. Both scary and exciting....hehe.
Well, I hope that everyone is doing well....I miss all you guys at Redeemer so much!!! Still, God has brought me back to New Brunswick for the summer and I am excited to see what he has in store for me while I am here. So, four months of being back in New Brunswick!!! Here I go!
Love ya all lots!

May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and grant you peace!
